Take super-sharp long-exposure photographs of the night sky
Photographing stars and planets in the night sky comes with some challenges. Fortunately, the Nikon D810A was created with the unique needs of the astrophotographer in mind. The camera's full-frame sensor is up to the challenge of capturing the vastness of space in sharp detail, and the shutter can stay open for up to 15 minutes so you can get plenty of light over a long exposure. Expanded ISO settings up to 51,000 will help ensure that you get beautiful, noise-free images of the cosmos.
Capture the hues of deep sky objects
Nikon adjusted the D810A's optical filters so it excels at capturing the red tones of nebulae and distant galaxies. For general photography applications like portraits and landscapes, we recommend the D810.
Your telescope is the lens
The D810A ships without a standard photography lens, because your telescope becomes the lens you need to photograph celestial objects. Add Celestron's Universal T-adapter and Nikon-specific T-ring (not included) to connect your camera directly to the telescope's viewing aperture. You'll have access to all of the camera's creative effects, and Celestron's encyclopedic database of objects of interest in the night sky.
